1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the HM Consultancy website. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. General information, not advice

Everything on this site, including guides, the tax calendar and the calculators, is general information only. It is not advice for your specific case. Tax outcomes depend on your facts, and KRA decides how the law applies. We do not promise any result that KRA controls, including waivers, refunds or the outcome of an objection.

3. No client relationship until agreed

Visiting the site, sending an enquiry, booking a call or chatting with us on WhatsApp does not make you our client. A client relationship starts only when we agree an engagement with you, including the work and the fee, and you accept it. Our free tax check is a short review and does not replace an engagement.

4. Rates, dates and calculators

Tax rates, thresholds, deadlines and amnesty terms change, often with each Finance Act. We try to keep them current and show the date they were last checked, but they may be out of date. Calculator results are estimates. Always confirm figures with KRA or with us before you rely on them.

5. Prices

Prices shown on the site are "from" prices. We give you a quote before we start. Government taxes, penalties and interest are paid by you to KRA and are not part of our fee. Accounts preparation and bookkeeping are not included unless we agree otherwise in writing.

6. Bookings and enquiries

A time you choose in the booking calendar is a request. It is confirmed only when we reply to you by WhatsApp or email. Please do not send your KRA password, bank details or other passwords through the site, WhatsApp or email.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to give us information that is true, complete and up to date, and to tell us promptly if anything changes. We can only be as accurate as the information you provide.

8. Intellectual property

The site's text, design, logo and images belong to HM Consultancy or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own use, but you may not copy or republish them without our written consent.

9. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites, such as KRA. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, HM Consultancy is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on the general information on it, including losses caused by out-of-date rates or dates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. The terms of any engagement we agree with you will set out our responsibilities for that work.

11. Your data

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change the site or these terms at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
